I have always known that I heard and saw things that were not of ‘this world’. Visions and ‘entities’ came to me at all hours, never threatening and always welcomed. As a child I thought nothing of this, and my parents themselves never sent anything but supportive messages my way, even as I spoke of past-life experiences and was able to give precise drawings and names of homes and streets and publications I had no way of having prior knowledge of.

As childhood gave way to the teenage years my experiences became less idyllic however. I found myself overtaken by a power that I did not recognize or understand. This scared me, and I shut down that part of myself turning my back on a past life that had once given me comfort and (as an only child) much needed companionship. It would not stay silenced for long.

At the age of 16 my energies were violently and involuntarily re-awoken. Through an array of chance encounters a ‘healer’ entered the life of one of my best friends. Very quickly I began to realize that the healer, who quickly ingratiated his way into my friend’s family, was not a force for good. He began a series of ‘psychic attacks’ on me that I was not prepared for. Attacks that forced me to make the choice that all young people, who feel themselves empowered with intuitive skills must make. Will I help to heal the lives of those I encounter or will I employ hurtful tactics for my own personal gain?

It’s an eternal truth; with great talent comes great responsibility. As a young person with psychic and intuitive abilities I feel blessed with the powers to help those in need of guidance and clarity. I also feel a deep obligation to honor Universal Balance by doing no harm to others, and by helping others to turn away from harmful choices while on their own journey. This path has allowed the Universe to provide me with opportunities and self-sufficiency that I could not have imagined as a young child staring at the morning dew on the blades of grass and wondering about the angels that had placed them there.

If you currently find yourself struggling with your own psychic leanings all I can advise is that you embrace them. Harness and polish them as you would an antique violin. Learn to tune and use their vibrations to add love and beauty to your life and the world. Always acknowledge that you are not the Source but only a vessel and avoid those charlatans who will exploit you for their own material and physical gain.

In the words of Rabbi Pliskin “everyone has free will to choose how he will act within the basic structure of his personality. Whether you will be righteous, evil, or average – it’s up to you!”
